le déjeuner

Pablo Picasso was inspired by Manet’s painting Le déjeuner sur l’herbe (1862-1863), Luncheons on the grass. Between 1949 and 1962 Picasso made numerous paintings, drawings and cardboard maquettes for sculptures with reference to Manet’s work. Some pics taken at the Picasso Museum in Paris.

sunday stroll to hell

Next to the Fondation Cartier off Boulevard Raspail (Paris, 14th arr.) you’ll find Passage d’Enfer or Hell’s Passageway. This beautiful pedestrian street is famous for it’s former residents like painter Foujita, sculptor Cesar (Baldaccini) and poet, adventurer Arthur Rimbaud. Also photographer Man Ray lived a few footsteps away.
